Lions & Rabbits officially reinvented itself as the Lions & Rabbits Center for the Arts, a nonprofit organization focused on arts and public activations in the Creston neighborhood of Grand Rapids.

The organization’s largest activation program is After Dark GR, which is a collaboration of municipalities, businesses and neighbors who come together to celebrate local artists.

Lions & Rabbits Center for the Arts will be hosting free summer and fall block party events that will include entertainment, street vendors, artisan markets, food, drink and other programs.

Vendors will have to pay a fee of $50 per 10-by-10-foot space, and food truck vendors will have to pay $100 per event.

The proceeds will be reinvested into the Creston neighborhood development and art programs for children, middle schoolers and teens, artist professional development and adult continuing education.

Patrons can volunteer for the events and make financial or in-kind donations.
